Pétanque - French Sport

Pétanque is a form of boules where the goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally "piglet") or jack, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground. The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel, but can also be played on grass, sand or other surfaces. Similar games are bocce and bowls.

L'Alliance Française  de Las Vegas (AFLV) is an educational organization promoting

French language and culture. Our mission is to promote French language learning and

French cultural awareness and interaction in Las Vegas. We are a non-profit

organization.

We offer French language courses for all ages and levels and host a multitude of events for French and English speakers throughout the year specifically for those living or visiting Las Vegas.  All are invited to join as a member or simply come and participate to any event as a non-member.
